The Bread & Buddha, and the zen of slow cooking join together to guide you in setting a healthful intention for the new year as we slow down and slow cook at Elawa Farm. Feel fed in mind, body and soul in this 2-hour retreat as Whole-Life Wellness Coach and The Bread & Buddha blog founder Pam Gross leads you through a one-hour gentle yoga practice, a soul-reflecting activity to set your intention for the season, and a wellness talk to set sustainable healthy new year goals. Meg Barnhart and Jane McKay, co-creators of the zen of slow cooking, will follow with a mini slow cooking demonstration, slow cooking tips and full slow-cooked lunch. Leave with a renewed sense of peace, connection to self and meaningful intention for the new year ahead...and with recipes, spices and wellness tips to savor each moment in 2017.
Feel food. Do good. 10% of your ticket will be donated to support Blessings in Backpack's local effort at St. Vincent Family Services, which works to feed 160 food-insecure children in their Pre-Kindergarten program each week.
