About Grace
Grace has been excited about nature from a very young age, which led her down an exciting path of exploring her interests until she landed on environmental education. She spent her college years in Indianapolis learning about urban agriculture, completing workshares and summer jobs at farms of all sizes. She graduated with a degree in environmental studies and biology—an exciting intersection between science, social science, and humanities.
Grace has tried her hand at many different things throughout her career: specialty tea, animal rescue, substitute teaching, and more. Most recently, Grace worked as an urban beekeeper and environmental program coordinator, driving around Chicago to care for rooftop bees. She curated educational programming related to beekeeping and urban food production for her clients, which gave her the opportunity to share her love of sustainable food with many different communities.
In her free time, Grace is a ceramicist and fiber artist who loves to incorporate ecology and sustainability in her work. She is very excited to bring her personal and professional interests together to facilitate some new and exciting programs for the Elawa Farm community!
