2026 Winter Break Camp
Keep kids engaged over winter break with single-day camps at Elawa Farm, where each day offers a new hands-on adventure. Young bakers can explore the science of breadmaking, create festive winter desserts, or spend a day caring for the farm's animals while learning what winter looks like on a working farm.
Each camp is designed for a specific age group and blends interactive learning with creative projects, outdoor exploration, and plenty of hands-on fun. Camps run from 9am– 1pm and are registered separately, so you can sign up for the day — or days — that best fit your family's schedule.
All About Bread
(Ages 5 - 11)

Go on a journey of all things bread! Experience the difference between quick bread and yeasted dough in a hands-on way, learning to make two different recipes throughout the day.
Campers will learn the science behind different leavening agents, all while practicing different baking techniques (how to measure ingredients properly, what order to add ingredients, kneading dough, and more.)

Take a deep dive into a day of baking at Elawa Farm! Learn to bake two festive and cozy desserts sure to keep you warm on even the coldest days of winter.
Campers will learn to bake two different desserts at a more advanced level, bringing home recipes at the end of the day to recreate them at home. This program is great for kids who have expressed an advanced interest in baking!
Farmer for a Day (Ages 5 - 7)

Spend the day learning about the life of a farmer in the winter! Take part in Elawa Farm’s winter animal care, including health checks, feeding, gathering eggs, and more! Come dressed for outdoor, hands-on learning.
Campers will experience a combination of hands-on fieldwork with the animals, as well as indoor educational learning to understand more about the needs of the animals at Elawa Farm. This program is perfect for animal lovers and aspiring farmers alike!
