About Georgia
Growing up in Wilmette, Illinois, Georgia always loved the environment and animals. She rode horses throughout high school and college and has volunteered for local organizations such as PAWS Chicago and Horsefeathers Therapeutic Riding Center.
Her interests have always centred around three topics: science, art, and the environment/animals.
She joined Elawa Farm in as a volunteer, and then as staff in 2022. In 2024 she took over management of the farm animals, starting new programs and creating additional opportunities for community interaction and education. She’s passionate about educating others on the benefits of small scale, urban agriculture and the farm animals that call Elawa Farm Foundation home.
